Growing Spaces Operational Updates for COVID-19

updated 3/11/2021

Growing Spaces is still open for business, but we are experiencing longer than normal lead times for both shipment and installation!

  • New Growing Dome Greenhouse lead times between 14 and 20 weeka
  • Growing Spaces Certified Installation is available in August 2021
  • Growing Dome Tours in Golden and Pagosa Springs are available by appointment only (masks required)
  • Due to supply shortages, we have recently added new polycarbonate suppliers

We hope our wonderful community of Growing Dome Owners and Enthusiasts is staying safe and healthy in this critical time. As a Critical Manufacturer of Agricultural products Growing Spaces is exempt and we are continuing to fabricate and ship new Growing Dome Greenhouses at our shop in Pagosa Springs! After expanding our shop last year we have plenty of space to stay 6′ apart from our co-workers and have implemented all the necessary social distancing requirements. We will also be adding more production space in Spring 2021.

Growing Dome Advisers are also still available by phone, email (info@growingspaces.com) or by filling out our Contact Form. They are working remotely, so please be patient if there are some delays in our response. We miss our daily team lunches and staff meetings, but we want to stay healthy so we can keep providing Growing Domes to customers who want to improve their well-being by growing their own food.

Production Schedule

Due to the extraordinary demand for Growing Dome Greenhouses caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, new shipments are currently booked out to August 2021.  We greatly apologize for the long lead times, and are doing everything we can to improve capacity.

Installation Schedule

Our installation schedules have been more impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. We are doing field installs in the US only, and currently have availability starting in August 2021. Call to check availability, but we reserve the right to change the schedule to protect the safety of our crews and our customers.

Customer self-installs are also a great option during this time, especially if you are quarantined at home and need a project to keep you busy. Or to help local businesses who may be impacted, hire a local contractor, carpenter or handyman to build your greenhouse dome. With the increased demand for self-installs and knowing that many contractors work weekends and longer hours, we will have an after-hours extension for installation questions in the spring and recently released updated installation instructions and videos.

Events and Tours

We are attending two socially distanced events this Spring. To respect the safety of our customers, we are not arranging personal tours at customer-owned Growing Domes at this time.

We are also donating all of the produce from our Growing Domes to local food banks, both in Pagosa Springs and from Golden. In the meantime, please enjoy these videos of the GoFarm dome greenhouse in Golden and a Day in the Life of our lead gardener in Pagosa Springs. It goes without saying that the more we can be self-sufficient in our daily lives and in our communities, the better.

Part Orders

For those in and around Pagosa Springs, we are only accepting part orders by phone.

  • Hello Lem!
I am a potential new customer interested in a Growing Dome for a farm outside Richmond, VA. I hoped to have it installed sometime in the Spring of 2021. Given the COVID environment effects, what advice do you have as to the best timetable for proceeding with my plans? Thanks so much.

    • Linda,

I sent you an email so we could discuss the current lead times. If you want to build in the spring, it is better to order sooner than later.

      Thank you,

      Kyle
