Sunday, October 13th: – GOGO Goosetown 5k & Festival
+ 26′ Growing Dome Tour – Golden, CO
Time: The Race Begins at 9 am – the Festival runs from 9 am – 3pm.
Location: Goosetown Event Center – 514 9th Street Golden, CO 80401
During the event, we will be offering a walkthrough of our brand new 26′ Growing Dome that was donated to Go Farm
The RACE and ALL BEER sales benefit the Golden Volunteer Fire Department. The Golden Volunteer Fire Dept. relies on donations from private sources to supplement the city allocation that they receive. Funding for the Golden Volunteer Fire Department falls short of what is needed for vital new equipment and training, necessary for these firefighters. We hope to help them with these needs! The GOGO Goosetown course begins and ends in the Historic Goosetown neighborhood of Golden, in front of the Original Loveland Hose Company Fire Station, currently home to the American Legion. The course is a moderate level course, traveling along the beautiful Clear creek path, heading West toward downtown Golden. Runners pass through Vanover Park, home to a large goose colony, and then cross over on a wooden bridge with gorgeous views to South Table and the foothills. The Course continues west on the trail, passing through Parfet Park, and on past the Golden Hotel, the Golden History Park, School of Mines, Golden Library, Golden History Museum, Golden Fire Department, Golden Visitor Center, and then back to the finish line & the Goosetown Fall Festival, at 9th & East Streets. One of the course highlights comes compliments of the Golden Fire Department. Runners will start under a Large flag, hanging from the tower of one of Golden’s Fire Trucks! The course will be handicap and stroller friendly – all crosswalks throughout the course have accessible ramps, with no steps. Stay & Play in Goosetown -post-race. You can enjoy delicious food from local vendors & food trucks, beverages including local craft beers, music, and even a Classic Car show! There will truly be fun for all ages!
