Hastings Middle School showing how the 42' Greenhouse once fit into two relatively small crates

2020 will always be a difficult year to put into words. But for us here at Growing Spaces, New York Times author Dorie Chevlen put it best:

“When the pandemic forced everyone into isolation and threatened food supplies, some people decided to build their own greenhouses.”

We were honored to be featured in this great article about growing your own food during the pandemic.

Fall Drive-Thru Event Golden, CO

Many in Front Range Colorado got to participate in the only event we were able to hold all year, and it was a great success! We handed out Halloween pumpkins for the kids, gave away Growing Spaces merchandise, had socially distant games, and of course gave personal tours of GoFarm’s 26′ Geodesic Dome Greenhouse in Golden, CO. Here are some pictures from the Fall ‘Drive Thru’ Event held on October 17, 2020!

Growing Spaces was proud to be involved with this project at Hastings Middle School in Nebraska, which had been in the works since 2019. The School did take advantage of some of the opportunities listed on our Garden Grants for Schools page.
